He attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina where he was awarded membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society and participated in several mission trips to North Africa. He then completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at Greenville Health System. Graduating summa cum laude, he proceeded to the Medical University of South Carolina where he served as Student Government Association president. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine following training in those disciplines at the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center.
